By bringing together NYC’s world-class higher education landscape in a ground-breaking collaborative format, Innovate NYC will equip you with the skills you need to launch a lifelong career driving forward social change.
Across three months, you will explore entrepreneurial methods under the guidance of renowned experts and work together with the top social changemakers from other NYC universities. You will gain invaluable skills by developing and implementing a hands-on solution to a real-world challenge in the City of New York.
Participants of Innovate NYC 2018 will tackle THE FUTURE OF JOBS CHALLENGE
Students from the following participating NYC colleges are invited to apply:
Borough of Manhattan Community College, Brooklyn Law School, Columbia University, The Cooper Union, Fordham University, Guttman Community College, Macaulay Honors College, The New School, New York University, and the Pratt Institute.
The program runs in two phases.
The first phase is a two day workshop in April where you and your 19 fellow students will get a chance to explore your passions & purpose, to come together as a team and to get a first taste of the innovation method.
The second phase is a hands-on, intensive three week workshop phase in June where you will work to solve the challenge of Innovate NYC. You will be supported by world renowned experts and the DO School facilitators, learn the DO School innovation method and create a piloted and tested real-life solution by the end of these three weeks.
